Fuego Astur
A concept e-commerce rebuild for a fictional small-batch Asturian food producer.
Concept study — self-initiatedBrief
- Client type
- Fictional — self-initiated concept, not a real business
- Scope
- Concept e-commerce store + brand system (E-Commerce Standard + Branding Essential, applied as a design exercise)
- Timeline
- Self-initiated, run alongside studio launch
- Stack
- Same Astro/Preact/Tailwind system used sitewide
Approach
Fuego Astur doesn't exist — it's a deliberately chosen exercise: a small, traditional food producer with no existing digital presence, the exact profile of the studio's actual target client. The concept explores what an E-Commerce Standard package looks like end to end: a compact catalogue, a checkout that doesn't feel like an afterthought bolted onto a brochure site, and a brand system (palette, type, a mark rooted in the region rather than a generic 'artisan food' cliché) built before a single product photo existed.
Outcome
Design goals (concept, not a live business):
- —A catalogue that reads as premium without stock photography clichés
- —A checkout completable in under a minute
- —A brand system that would survive being printed on packaging as easily as it works on screen
